We've Got Certified Renovators and We're Ready to Remodel

We now have two Certified Renovators on staff! John and Ray successfully completed an 8 hour Lead Safe Training Class. They learned the specialized procedures necessary to work in homes built before 1978 which could have lead paint.

The EPA’s Lead Based Paint Renovation, Repair and Painting Program takes effect April 22, 2010. It affects contractors, painters, plumbers, carpenters, electricians and even residential rental property owners and managers.

Basically, any activity that disturbs paint in a home built before 1978 is subject to the program. This includes remodeling, repairs and maintenance, electrical work, plumbing, painting, carpentry and window replacement.

If lead paint is found in the work area, then the contractor must use specialized lead safe work practices in performing the remodeling project. And only Certified Renovators and specially trained crews can perform lead-safe work practices.

Greco Remodelers is ready to remodel Manassas homes built before 1978.
